Marion Virginia Oldham, 89
Marion Virginia Oldham, 89, of Billings, Mont., passed away at the North Idaho Hospice Schneidmiller House surrounded by her family on Jan. 17, 2018.
Marion was born Nov. 8, 1928, to Paul and Mary Gregoryk in Bismarck, N.D. On April 7, 1951, Marion married Alan “Al” Claire Oldham at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton, N.D. They moved to Billings, Mont. and lived there for more than 60 years. Marion moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in June, 2013, following the death of her husband, Al, who passed away Jan. 18, 2013. Marion was a resident of Renaissance Assisted Living of Coeur d’Alene prior to her death.
Marion, our mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, will be remembered for her great wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed painting, writing short stories and selling Avon for more than 20 years. Her faith was very important to her. She attended weekly Rosary and Communion. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Billings. Marion loved and enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In continuing with Marion’s legacy are daughters and son, Cookie (Bob) Hardy of Coeur d’Alene; Debbie (Pat) Miller of Townsend, Mont.; Greg (Lynn) Oldham and Patti (Terry) Doble of Billings, along with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Renaissance Assisted Living staff for providing our mom a warm and caring home for the last five years, Kootenai Health Medical, Dr. Brown and nurses, who provided excellent care and attention, North Idaho Hospice Schneidmiller House, for their compassion and love they gave our mom in her final days.
A memorial service is scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice House of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, or Riverstone Health Services, 123 S. 27th St., Billings, MT 59101. Yates Funeral Home Coeur D’Alene has been entrusted with the care and final arrangements.
