A former Columbia Falls man and woman were killed July 7 in a single vehicle accident on Montana Highway 28 near Plains.
The Sanders County coroner’s office later identified them as Jessica Marie Timlick, 35, and Gavin Andrew Armstrong Jr., 35. The couple had moved to Hot Springs and lived together.
According to Montana Highway Patrol, Timlick was driving the vehicle over the speed limit when she failed to negotiate a turn near mile marker 10.
She lost control of her vehicle, veered to the left into a rock wall, crossed highway before coming to rest on the right hand side of the road in a smaller rock face.
Armstrong was ejected from the vehicle.
Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
