The Cabinet View Women’s League met a day early July 3 with the July 4th Holiday on a Wednesday.

The game of the day was low net on par 5s and 3s.

Nancy Hull won for Group ‘A’, and for Group ‘B’ it was Marilee Brown. Both women had a 15.

The low gross for the day for group ‘A’ was Nancy Hull with 46. For group ‘B’, Marilee Brown took first with a 56.

The low net for group ‘A’ came from Pat Neils, who had a 41. In group ‘B’, Ann Guthrie had first with a 40.

With increasing temperatures, the Women’s League will now start at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays at Cabinet View Golf Course. They continue to welcome any lady golfer to join the group.

The group gathers at the clubhouse any time after 8 a.m. for coffee and a snack. After a round of golf, the group meets for lunch at a local restaurant.

LIBBY — After an evening and morning spent deliberating, a jury in Montana 19th Judicial District Court found Sarah Carpenter guilty on Wednesday of deliberate homicide and tampering with physical evidence in the January 2017 death of Travis Gillett.
