Motorists can expect delays along U.S. Highway 93 for the next week, as crews maintain the roadway.

According to a press release from Big Sky Public Relations, the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will perform micro-surfacing and crack sealing on the highway between mile marker 67 at Jette to north of mile marker 93 outside of Rollins.

The work began Monday, July 9.

Chip sealing will take place from Polson to Big Arm. Flaggers will direct traffic and pilot cars will usher vehicles through the work zone.

Motorists are encouraged to allow for an additional 30 minutes of delays, and if possible, to use alternate routes.

Montana Highway 35 on the east side of Flathead Lake can be used for those traveling between Kalispell and Polson.
