SANDPOINT — R&L Property Management moved nearly a year ago, yet some are still heading to the company’s former office.

“We’ve had several different offices over the years,” said R&L Property Management owner Linda Cox.

The newest location, however, has caused some confusion for R&L clients.

The company moved to its new address at 1205 Highway 2 last August, Cox said, but the old address is still listed in the phonebook. While the new address is correct online, and not a lot of people use phone books anymore, Cox said there has still been some confusion regarding the location.

R&L Property Management is now situated at the corner of Highway 2 and S. Olive Avenue. A side entrance leads to the stairs and elevator, with the property management located on the second floor of the building in Suite 202-A.

Cox said she is the “L” in R&L as she and her husband, Rick, started the company 40 years ago. Her husband is semi-retired now, she said.

The main focus of R&L Property Management, she said, is single-family residential rentals, with some small apartments and duplexes, as well as some commercial property management. Some of the services provided include maintenance and tenant screening.

“That’s probably the most important part of our job is screening for good tenants,” Cox said.

They also provide a security service for owners who are away for part of the year, she said.

While they are not the “biggest” property management in town, manager Stacy Roget, who has been the company for 29 years, said they offer a “more personalized” service to their clients. Cox and Roget said they are “very hands on” when it comes to the job.

“And when our people call here, we know who they are,” Cox said. “... Stacy or I, either one, can answer their questions. And we feel that is a real plus to us, that it is more hands on.
