Dead Fervor jumped on stage to join Devon Wade in a rendition of “Sweet Home Alabama.”
The CARD Foundation Big Sky Bash brought Skid Row, along with the Flathead V8s, Dead Fervor and Devon Wade on Saturday.
“When you can bring rock and roll together with a great cause, it’s a win-win situation,” Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan told the crowd.
Liz Voorhies shuttled Skid Row from Spokane. Despite no air conditioning and a flat tire, the band was unfazed.
Voorhies said Skid Row were appreciative and kind.
After Wade took the stage, he marveled at following Skid Row. Later, he said he remembers the Skid Row tape he and his sister shared when he was young
This was Wade’s third year at the bash, and he said his favorite part is the crowds.
“Last year we played, and people were climbing the fence and security was pushing them back. We had to tell them, ‘Hey, you know we’re just from Sandpoint,’” he said.
From Bash volunteers to the community, Wade said he is overwhelmed by the hospitality and kindness.
