Former UI, NIC player Blake signs pro hoops deal

BRAUNSCHWEIG, Germany — Fresh off a long run in the NBA Summer League, Brayon Blake is set to bring his skills overseas, to Löwen Braunschweig in the German Basketball Bundesliga.
Blake, a University of Idaho product who played one season at North Idaho College, is currently averaging 3.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Blake was exceptional for the Vandals during his senior season, earning 2017-18 First Team All-Big Sky honors after scoring 17 points and grabbing nearly 10 boards per game. He also improved his 3-point shooting to post the fifth best single-season average in team history.
Braunschweig finished 12th in the Bundesliga, Germany’s top professional league, last season at 14-20. The team has featured a number of former and future NBA players, including Dennis Schöoder (Atlanta Hawks), Daniel Theis (Boston Celtics) and Chris Herren (Denver Nuggets/Boston Celtics). The remainder of the roster will be announced in the coming weeks.
