Motorcyclist Dies on Going-to-the-Sun Road

A Pennsylvania man died while riding his motorcycle on Going-to-Sun Road in Glacier National Park last week.
According to a press release from the park, the 78-year-old man, from Martinsburg in central Pennsylvania, was driving west, about 1.7 miles east of Apgar Village at about 10 a.m. with friends. Witnesses driving behind the man said he slumped over his handlebars immediately before his motorcycle left the roadway.
Visitors immediately went to his aid, including a physician who found no pulse and initiated CPR.
It is unknown whether the death was caused by an underlying medical emergency, or a result of the subsequent accident. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
