PASCO — Alcohol and/or drugs reportedly played a factor in a weekend collision near Pasco that left three Othello residents injured.

About 3:05 a.m. Sunday morning Rafael Reyes-Cardenas, 24, of Othello, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro north on state Route 395, about 12 miles north of Pasco, when he reportedly left the roadway. Reyes-Cardenas allegedly overcorrected, which caused the Camaro to roll and come to a rest on its wheels, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Reyes-Cardenas and his passengers, Celsa Chuello-Granadillo, 42, of Othello, and Mayorlin Rojas-Chuello, 23, of Othello, were injured in the collision. Reyes-Cardenas was transported to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco for treatment. Chuello-Granadillo and Rojas-Chuello were both transported to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland for treatment. Chuello-Granadillo was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The patrol says alcohol and/or drugs were involved in the collision, but the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation. Citations are on hold pending the outcome of the investigation.
