The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday released the name of the Kalispell man killed in a head-on crash July 26 on U.S. 2 north of the airport.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was identified as Marlow James Moschetti, 27, from Kalispell. Moschetti was driving a 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup at speeds of 95 mph prior to the crash, according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jerry Ren. His vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with another pickup.

The Sheriff’s Office had previously identified the other driver killed in the crash as 56-year-old Linda M. Turner, of Sumter, South Carolina. She was driving a rental vehicle, a 2018 Ford F150 pickup.

The crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m., near the intersection of Conn Road, in the southbound lane. Both vehicles were consumed by an immediate post-crash fire.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
