Build the wall - and start before the midterms

There, in bold letters at the top of the front page of my newspaper, it says, “In reversal, Trump orders halt to his family separation rule” (AP).
The DemocRAT media complain about kids in cages in a photo from 2014, and they demand that President Trump sign an executive order, and when he does, it’s still not good enough. They still call the family separation “his policy.” I guess they think freedom of the press means freedom to lie. What they want is open borders.
For a lot of us who don’t know, and because we don’t know all the different laws and rulings, we’re easy prey for a duplicitous media.
Here’s an explanation from Ann Halina:
“In March 1993, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling in Flores v. Reno. The court decided that minors couldn’t be incarcerated with adults accompanying them illegally across the U.S. border. The decision was the result of a long dispute in how to best care for these children while the adults were detained for criminal proceedings. When aliens cross the border illegally — that is, not at a point of entry — they are incarcerated until their criminal case is decided. The understandable argument at the time was ‘why should children be incarcerated while their parents are in jail?’ It seemed a fundamental violation of international human rights. As a result, The Flores case drew a line in the sand. Children could not be incarcerated with their parents or accompanying adults while being held for illegal immigration violations. And a subsequent 1997 agreement stipulated that children must be placed in a safer environment where they could enjoy certain privileges, including education, a clean, safe environment and other normal life cycle amenities that incarcerated individuals do not enjoy. It was considered a ‘victory’ for human rights. By separating adult and child, we protected the children, reducing any harm done to them for their parent’s or accompanying adult’s decisions.”
This one story illustrates how important it is for us to do our research regarding today’s headlines. For my money, the 2018 midterm elections are every bit as important as electing Donald Trump president, and that’s why the DemocRATs are so hysterical over something that went on during the Obama years. And that’s why we deplorables have to get on the stick again and report the truth that the media won’t tell us. We have to show up 100 percent come election day, because the ultra-liberal progressive psychopaths will turn out in droves. Yes, I said psychopaths — after what we’ve seen lately about how to murder an ICE agent, not to mention Peter Fonda’s foaming at the mouth. What catches my attention is that the fix may already be in. I say that because, if I heard correctly, Chuck Schumer is openly saying the DemocRATs want this immigration issue to remain an issue. Hint — that means he, and whoever he’s speaking for, don’t care one whit about these children. If it seemed that way to you, and you weren’t quite sure you were hearing things right, Schumer is saying in no uncertain terms that it’s about who gets elected to Washington, and the welfare of Americans be damned. It’s why I voted for Donald Trump, and it’s why I’ll vote for him in 2020. Whatever I may think of the RepublicRATs in Washington, I have to hold my nose and vote R, just to keep Republican control of the House and Senate, because if the DemocRATs get control, we’ll see open borders the minute they get their lap-dog in the White House. I’m as compassionate as anyone, but open borders? There’s a limit to what the American taxpayers can be expected to do. BUILD THE WALL, and build it before the midterms.
Wake up, folks. These lefties mean business, and they’re not going to stop spewing their venom. President Trump, make America great again.

'The Trump effect' is in the eye of the beholder
As evidenced by “The Trump Effect” op-ed in the April 15 Daily Inter Lake, the hypocrisy of the anti-Trumpers is getting almost too comical to describe. As usual, the Alinsky tactics are on full display, accusing the target with no regard for truth, and most assuredly blaming the target for the same things the writer does. Donald Trump is portrayed as “...the vindictive and impulsive demagogue posing as the 45th president...” Later on, Trump is called “...a man so insecure that he has made as one of his primary objectives the denigration — or total obliteration — of the legacy of his predecessor...”, Trump’s predecessor being Barack Obama. I don’t make the charge of hypocrisy lightly, but if Donald Trump is some kind of demagogue, he doesn’t hold a candle to Barack Obama, hence my use of the term.

Not just gays, but all, are sinners
This is a response to the Aug 19, 2018, Daily Inter Lake opinion pages, ‘In defense of LGBTQ+’, pages C7 & C8, and an article from a gay ex-minister on page C9. All of the letters were in support of the LGBTQ+ community, and addressed an earlier op-ed by Tim Adams.
