Readers of all ages are encouraged to participate in “Libraries Rock!”, this year’s summer reading program. Visit your local library to register and receive your summer reading materials.

The Libby Library will host programs at J. Neils Park on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Activities may include group games, musical crafts, yoga, art projects, science experiments and more. Call 406-293-2778 for more information.

The Troy Library will also host programs throughout the summer, including a music-themed coloring contest from June 27 to July 27. Other activities may include musical bingo, make-and-take instrument, scavenger hunt and more. Call 406-295-4040 for more information.

The Eureka Library will host programs on Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. beginning June 21. Activities may include a folk song sing-a-long, science of sound, sounds of nature, rock painting and more. Call 406-296-2613 for more information.

Chess games will be held every Saturday at the Troy Library from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

June 8, noon: Join us at the Troy Library for the Troy Friends of the Library Book Sale and BBQ. Sale will run until 4 p.m., food while supplies last.

June 20, 11:30 a.m.: Join us at the Troy Library for all-ages musical bingo.

June 20, 5 p.m.: Join us at the Libby Library for “Father and Daughter Harmony with Bill and Christy Corbell” for a blend of new and old tunes. Lemonade and popcorn will be provided by the Libby Friends of the Library. Please bring your own chair or blanket.

June 23, 11 a.m.: Join us at the Libby Library at 11 a.m. for “A Hot Drink and A Good Book,” our monthly book discussion. This month features “Blink” by Malcolm Gladwell. Why are the best decisions often impossible to explain to others? This is a book about how we think without thinking, about choices that seem to be made in an instant yet actually aren’t as simple as they seem. Copies are available at the library.

June 28, 11:30 a.m.: Join us at the Troy Library for a scavenger hunt for ages preschool to teen.

June 29: Amnesty Day: All items turned in that are less than 90 days overdue and in good condition will have fines waived.
