QUINCY — Alcohol and excessive speed reportedly played a role in a fatal collision near Quincy over the weekend.
Angela Anaya, 48, of Quincy, was driving a 2011 Cadillac CTS at a high speed north on Road P Northwest Sunday night when she reportedly failed to negotiate a curve between Road 12 and Martin Road Northwest. The Cadillac reportedly rolled four times and Anaya’s passenger, Jose Lozano, 48, of Quincy, was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Due to her serious condition, Anaya was later transferred to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for treatment of a fractured skull.
Deputies searched for the scene of the collision for over three hours and Lozano’s body was found by a deputy at the collision scene about 3 a.m. Monday morning.
