Heino, Brodehl win primaries

Randy Brodehl has won the Republican primary for Flathead County Commissioner and Brian Heino won the primary for Flathead County Sheriff.
Brodehl edged Gerald “Jay” Scott 5,471-5,310. Incumbent Gary Krueger received 3,543 and Ronalee Skees, 3,288.
The Republican winner will face Democrat Tom Clark in the Nov. 6 general election.
In the Sheriff’s race, Heino garnered 8,888 votes, Jordan White, 3,468, Keith Stahlberg, 3,006 and Calvin Beringer 2,989.
There is no Democratic challenger in the general election for sheriff.
The Egan Slough Initiative, which would add land to the Egan Slough zoning district, passed by a wide margin, 17,527-7,552.
In the race for Justice of the Peace Department 2, Paul Sullivan beat William L. Managhan, 13,649-8,179.
