“Cupping” added to Rehabilitative Services

Cupping therapy — an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on a patient’s skin for a few minutes to create suction — has been added to the Rehabilitative Services Department at the Libby and Troy facilities.

Cupping treatment can help with pain, inflammation, blood flow and relaxation, and serves as a type of deep-tissue massage.

According to a news release, cupping “may benefit anyone with tight muscles or irritated nerves causing pain in the low back, legs, arms, shoulder and neck.”

To learn more or schedule an appointment, call Rehabilitative Services in Libby at 406-283-7280 or Troy at 406-295-4154.
