Dixie Seybold passed away on April 10, 2018, at Life Care in Sandpoint, Idaho, of complications from a previous stroke.

A lifelong resident of Algoma, Idaho, she was born in a log home on Heath Lake in 1929. She moved to Pasco, Wash., in 1951, there meeting her husband of 65 1/2 years, Robert Seybold. In 1957, they moved back to Algoma, building a home on Heath Lake, across from the home in which she was born.

Dixie was a wife, mother and homemaker her entire life. An avid outdoor person, she and Robert, traveled extensively in retirement.

She loved the Oregon and Washington coast, clamming, crabbing, picking oysters and fishing. They also spent many hours fishing the small lakes of Idaho and Montana, and took their travel trailer on a trip to Alaska.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Seybold; her son, Steve Seybold (Leann); her daughter Lori Beard (Ted); her granddaughters, Stephanie Martin and Brook Decker (Neil); and her great-grandchildren, Aryanah and Kenton Decker. She is also survived by her sisters, Evelyn Anderson, Shirley Duke, Irene Henderson, Edith Stolley, and Lavina Laverdere.

Per her wishes, no service will be held.
