Next river meeting is June 20 in Kalispell

The next comprehensive river management plan for the three wild and scenic sections of the Flathead River is June 20 in Kalispell.

The meeting will be held in the lower level of the Arts and Technology Building at Flathead Valley Community College. The main meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will include presentations on current wildlife information and some facilitated discussion on how wildlife will be addressed in the CRMP. Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
