The decision to promote Micah Hill from assistant principal to principal of Glacier High School was unanimous at a Kalispell Public School board meeting Tuesday.
In May, Hill had been recommended to succeed Callie Langohr as principal following her promotion as assistant superintendent of the school district. Hill and Langohr formally assume their new roles on July 1.
Hill was one of three finalists interviewed for the principal position.
He began a career in education teaching English in Colstrip High School in the late ’90s. He went on to teach at Bigfork High School for three years before joining Kalispell Public Schools in 2001 as an English teacher at Flathead High School. Hill received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English education from Montana State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Montana.
