COEUR d’ALENE — Helping families thrive is in the DNA of Mountain States Early Head Start.

"It has been a gratifying experience to see not only our organization grow, but witness the growth of our families that we serve and the community support as well," said Alisha Williams, center assistant for the MSEHS Coeur d'Alene location.

The nonprofit's mission focuses on healthy babies and pregnancies, early child development and happy, healthy families. It has been working to help families for 20 years, a milestone that will be celebrated during an open house July 10.

"Without the unification of all involved, we wouldn’t be where we are today and want to celebrate and thank those who have made it all possible," Williams said. "We see the impact every day, whether it be at a home visit or an office meeting, and we will continue to strive to be the best support system for our members and families."

The 20th anniversary open house on July 10 will be at the Coeur d'Alene MSEHS, 411 N. 15th St. Suite 200, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The day will include a special presentation at 12:15 p.m., book giveaways, story times with special guests, outdoor activities and refreshments.

The community is invited to attend the celebration. Reservations are recommended by this Friday. To RSVP, contact Williams at 208-765-6955 x 221 or email [email protected].
