The Ronan Police Department is investigating a series of breakins reported to local authorities.

Ronan Police Chief Ken Weaver said that multiple businesses including Mexpress, Stageline Pizza, Mission Valley Veterinary Clinic, Western Montana Clinic and Bagwell’s Dental have reported thefts.

Mostly cash has been taken from the locations, Weaver said, adding some of the locations that reported thefts have alarm systems and others have surveillance systems.

To further protect against burglary, Weaver said that businesses should not keep large amounts of cash on the premsis and get an alarm and high-quality surveillance system.

Weaver said that anyone with information sohuld contact the Ronan Police Department at (406) 676-0223 and ask for Officer Joel Diaz, who is handling the investigation.
