Troy needs volunteers for July 4th

With the locally famous annual celebration approaching, the beer garden for the Troy July 4th celebrations still needs volunteers.
Robbee Pennock, who is running the beer garden for the first time this year, said that she has managed to recruit several people after initially having no one, but still needs around 11 more to work mostly afternoon and evening shifts.
Volunteers must be 21, and responsibilities include checking IDs, pouring, serving and selling tickets.
The afternoon shifts usually have about four people working together, and last two hours, Pennock said. The last shift is from 9 p.m. to close, which is expected to be around 11 p.m.
Working the beer garden should be a fun time, Pennock said.
“You get to talk to people from the community. It doesn’t normally get very rowdy or anything like that,” she said. “I think it’s pretty mellow, and the shifts go by pretty fast, because in the evening you’re busier.”
Pennock said anyone wanting to help can call her at 406-291-9434.
