The Montana Public Service Commission is meeting in Kalispell on Thursday morning for a hearing on a Butte-based moving company’s request to sell their state motor carrier certificate to Kalispell-based A-Team Moving and Storage.

Competitors in the Flathead Valley have submitted complaints expressing their ire over the proposed sale by Dunne Moving and Storage.

Local moving companies like Two Men and a Truck and Mergenthaler Transfer and Storage say the Public Service Commission should use their regulatory power to prevent new competition from entering their part of the state when it was initially permitted to operate in a separate part of the state.

The hearing is open to the public and is set for 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 28 in Room 109 of the Business and Social Sciences Building at Flathead Valley Community College.
