Students across the nation held walkouts at 10 a.m. on Wednesday for 17 minutes to honor the 17 victims killed in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Bigfork, Glacier, Flathead, Columbia Falls and Whitefish high school students participated in local events.
Some Columbia Falls High School students held a counter protest Wednesday to honor the victims while also supporting gun rights.
