Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 6 years, 10 months AGO
WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Freshman Madi Mott threw a perfect game, striking out nine in the first game of an 8-0 and 14-6 sweep of the Walla Walla Warriors on Friday in the Northwest Athletic Conference opener for both schools on Friday.
Mott now leads the conference with 53 strikeouts on the season.
Kayla Curtan and Megan Carver had two RBIs each in the second game for NIC (11-1), which competes against Big Bend of Moses Lake today starting at 2 p.m.
Due to poor field conditions in the Moses Lake area, the game was pushed back to 2 p.m., instead of the normal starting time of noon on Saturdays.
