Sally Anne (Carrier) Goetz, 62, of Florence, Texas, passed away on March 18, 2018, comfortably at home surrounded by loved ones. Sally was born on March 27, 1955, in Nashua, New Hampshire. She was the daughter of Malcom Carrier and Rosamond (Caswell) Brown.

She grew up in Priest Lake, Idaho, and graduated from Priest River Lamanna High School. Following high school, Sally joined the Air Force. She spent most of her military career in Minot, N.D., where she met her husband of 40 years, Randy A. Goetz. Following marriage, Sally began furthering her education at Park College, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in management accounting and management computer information systems. While going to school, she was still active in the Air Force. Sally served a total of eight years, earning her staff sargent rank, before being honorably discharged in 1981.

Following discharge, Sally moved to Austin, Texas, where she began working at the office of Veterans Administration (83-85). Sally left her job at the VA and began working for the Defense Contract Audit Agency in 1985, until 2000. In 1989, Sally and Randy welcomed their only child, Trevor Jay Goetz, into the world. In 2000, she returned to work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, until she retired in 2011. In April 2011, Sally began working for the Human Resources Department of Williamson County. In August 2017, she took a leave of absence from work due to illness.

Her time spent in central Texas was spent around her love for horses, family and friends. Sally was president of the Brushy Creek Saddle Club, and a member of the Williamson County Sheriff Posse. Sally enjoyed helping people in her community, not only with riding lessons, but also opening her ranch for someone who needed a space to ride. She was a devoted member of anything she took part in, whether she was setting up play days, calculating points for prizes, announcing while still competing she could do it all.

Sally is preceded in death by her mother, Rosamond Brown; father, Malcom Carrier; and husband, Randy Goetz. She is survived by her son, Trevor Goetz and wife Kayla; grandsons: Rowdy and Tuff Goetz; her significant other, David Lincoln; sister, June Bardsley; and her brothers, Stephen Carrier and Tom Carrier.

A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, at Ramsey Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. At 11 a.m., Sally will be laid to rest at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas with full military honors.
