Polson netters sweep Corvallis

POLSON — The Polson boys and girls tennis teams swept Corvallis on Saturday thanks to solid performances up and down the singles lineups.

The Pirate girls won all four singles matches on their way to a commanding 6-1 victory.

Shea McGuinness, Berkely Ellis, Josie Peterson and Megan Post all took their singles matches in straight sets.

Kyler Lundeen/Ora Harlan and Elizabeth Violett/Sharmaine Zempel won doubles matches, both in three sets.

The Polson boys eked out a 4-3 win over Corvallis with three wins in singles matches.

Kendal Forman-Webster, Trevor Schultz and Anton Lefthand all won in straight sets.

Sam Schultz/Carson McDaniel picked up the Pirates’ lone doubles win in dominant fashion, 6-2, 6-1.

Polson returns to the courts April 6, hosting Columbia Falls and Dillon at 1 p.m.
