First Lutheran will hold Good Friday services today at 12 p.m.

Area residents are invited to join the congregation for the Tenebrae Service of Light & Darkness and come dwell in the Passion story according to Mark. The service utilizes candles, song, time for reflection and prayer as means to encounter the gift of love lived by Jesus for the sake of the world.

On Easter Sunday, a potluck breakfast/brunch will be served from 8:30-9:45 a.m., with an Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. Children up to the sixth-grade are invited to gather in the Fellowship Hall for a story and for hunt instructions. Worship will take place at 10 a.m. and the community is invited to join the congregation for Holy Communion and the promise of new life through Jesus Christ.

There will be special music by Selkirk Brass, organist Corina Hughes, and the First Lutheran Church choir under direction of Nathan Baker.
