FSPW hosting Montana conservationist

Join Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness for two evenings with Jim Posewitz in Libby; April 5 at the Cabinet Mountain Brewery and April 6 at the Maki Theater.
Posewitz has fought for Montana’s wildlife and wild places all his life. He has an impressive background with experience leading numerous conservation organizations and holding many titles including fisheries biologist, wilderness advocate, administrator, executive director, board member of numerous organizations, philosopher, historian, and noted author.
In his eighty-third year, Posewitz continues to write opinion pieces for Montana newspapers and present at numerous venues. His knowledge of Montana conservation history is unequalled.
Posewitz is the author of five books, including his most recent, “My Best Shot – Discovering and Living the Montana Conservation Ethic”.
Now, Posewitz is on the road to Libby, ready to share his good humor, amazing stories and heartfelt passion.
Area residents are invited to join Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness for an evening Brews for Benefits at Cabinet Mountain Brewing Co. on Thursday, April 5 from 5-8 p.m (MDT). Posewitz will have his new book and will be signing copies while enjoying live background music by pianist, Clayton DeSimone.
FSPW will also be recognizing volunteers and buying the first beer for those who wear their FSPW gear.
On Friday, April 6, Posewitz will be at the K.W. Maki Theater in Libby at 6-8 p.m. (MDT). Jim will speak at 7 p.m. about the winding path of conservation in Montana and the ongoing necessity of community education and involvement needed to keep our Montana treasures valuable. Come early to visit and buy a signed book.
