The Othello Girls took two of three matches against Ephrata at home April 24. The Huskies got strong play from all three doubles teams, but rolled snake eyes in their singles matches losing both to the Tigers.

First doubles Macy Hampton and Daishawn Roylance got past Taylor Perez and Chloe Davis in two sets, 6-2, 6-6 (7-4). It took second doubles Janiese Alvarez and Alyssa Freeman three sets (5-7, 6-2, 6-3) to get past Hannah Goodspeed and Roslyn Martin. Third doubles Jenny Walker and Janae Freeman found little resistance from Elena Duffner and Emily Allsopp, winning the match 6-0, 6-1.

First singles Julissa Cantu dropped her match to Kenzie O’Donnell (2-4, 5-7). Second singles Amayeli Diaz dropped her match to Kayla Mullins (no score reported)

The win over the Tigers move the Huskies to 5-1 in league play and 11-1 overall. Othello hosted East Valley Tuesday, but the results of the match were not available at press time. The Huskies head to Selah Thursday and then closes out the regular season at home against Grandview.
