The effects of hard times on religious faith will be explored at Lifetree Café on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 2 p.m.

The program — titled “Where Is God When Life Turns Tough?” — features a filmed interview with John Stumbo, a former pastor and marathon runner who suffered a sudden, life-threatening illness that attacked his entire muscular system.

“I was discovering the faith I had come to claim as a child was now being tested,” Stumbo says. “It happened in a venue I never expected, an ICU ward where the threat of death was very real.”

During the program, Lifetree participants will have an opportunity to discuss times in their own lives when they’ve doubted God.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café meets at Jalapenos, 314 N Second Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho.

Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Stan at 208-304-6465, stan@followcommunity.org.
