St. Regis residents were treated to an evening of music and dinner on April 26, thanks to the school’s music department.
Music teacher Derek Larson accompanied several students on the piano as they sang songs to a roomful of diners as they enjoyed a dish of pork loin prepared by the St. Regis School cooks, Dawn Palmer and Buffy Cheesman and on April 27, diners enjoyed Prim Rib.
During the evening’s entertainment, McKenzie Stortz started the show when she sang, “When We Were Young”. Followed by Ian Farris who sang a Johnny Cash favorite, “Ring of Fire” and encouraged the audience to sing-along. Brother and sister team, Andrew and Anna Sanford performed next with “Lost Boy” where Anna sang and Andrew accompanied her on the piano.
Next was Connor Dunlap with “Waving Through a Window”, and then Robert Dahl who dedicated his song, “Supermarket Flowers” to his mother. Emma Hill and Andrew Sanford sang “Little Talks” followed by Ann Sanford with “Snow Mazes of Norway”. Emma Hill then took the stage again with Krystina Thompson and sang “Feel the Light”. Thompson then sang a solo, “How Does a Moment Last Forever”. Husband and wife team, Derek and Shelly Larson finished up the night performances with “Rewrite the Stars.”
