NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that a public hearing pursuant to Idaho Code and Dover City Code has been set for Dover City Council on May 24, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at Dover City Hall, 699 Lakeshore Ave., Dover, to consider the following proposed amendment to Title 12 (Zoning Regulations), initiated by the City of Dover: File #AM14-18, Zoning Map Replacement - An amendment to Title 12, Chapter 4, to set procedures for adoption by resolution of a replacement zoning map. Dover Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of this ordinance at its May 3, 2018 public hearing. The public is encouraged to attend the hearings or provide written response. Any written comment greater than 1 page must be submitted at least 6 days prior to the meeting. Written material not exceeding 1 page may be read into the record the day of the hearing. CITY OF KOOTENAI, IDAHO SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE # 220 TITLE 8, CHAPTERS 2 and 14, KOOTENAI CITY CODE FENCING AND VISIBILITY STANDARDS AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF KOOTENAI, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING TITLE 8, CHAPTERS 2 AND 14, OF KOOTENAI CITY CODE, PROVIDING SIGHT TRIAN- GLE DEFINITIONS, FENCE AND VISIBILITY STAND- ARDS, AND LANDOWNER RESPONSIBILITIES, DECLARING VIOLATIONS A MISDEMEANOR, AND PROVIDING SEVERABILITY, SAVINGS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. SUMMARY: The City of Kootenai adopted Ordinance #220 on May 2, 2018 to amend Kootenai City Code Title 8, Chapters 2 and 14, Definitions and Design Standards, to: provide definitions for sight triangle and modified sight triangle; increase maximum fence height from 6' to 7', with exceptions; establish standards to improve traffic visibility; require fences be built of common fencing materials; reminding landowners of responsibilities to call before digging; setting forth violations as a misdemeanor; and correcting the sight triangle requirements to meet state code. The ordinance is effective upon publication of the ordinance summary in the official newspaper.
