Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 6 years, 8 months AGO
I have two questions for Bonner County property owners;
If you have dealt with the Assessor’s Office in the past were you satisfied with the attitude and treatment you have received from them?
If not, do you think that electing a current employee of that office will bring a positive change?
As a property owner in Bonner County for the last 35 years, I have experienced indifference, a lack of understanding, and in one case downright rudeness from employees of that office.
One of the candidates in this race touts 27 years of experience as an appraiser. If you elect this employee our assessor, someone who has benefitted from the current system, do you really think the culture of the office will be any different in the future?
Another candidate touts his 40 years experience as a small property development contractor. Has he ever managed public employees and million dollar public budgets? Not according to his campaign literature.
One candidate possesses the education, knowledge, and skills to bring positive change to the Assessor’s Office and that is Dennis Engelhardt. Dennis has many years of successful experience in managing both county employees and large public budget. Dennis has no history with the current employees of the Assessor Office, therefor no biases, and will judge each on the merits of their performance.
Please vote for positive change, vote for Dennis Engelhardt for assessor on May 15.
