No injuries were reported in a house fire Sunday afternoon in Columbia Falls.

According to Columbia Falls Fire Chief Chief Rick Hagen, a tenant the Eighth Street residence extinguished the bedroom fire with a hose.

Firefighters checked to make sure the fire was out and cleared it of smoke.

While an exact cause of the fire was undetermined, Hagen said it was believed the source was wiring underneath a pile of clothes.

The Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the man.
