Troy tennis team advances to state

The Troy High School tennis team is sending three boys singles and two doubles to state, along with one girls single and a doubles pair.

Junior Austin McCully, senior AJ Faur, junior Cody Osterberg and sophomore Katelynn Tallmadge are all advancing in singles play to the state tennis tournament held in Great Falls beginning Wednesday and running through Saturday.

In doubles play, Troy juniors Dylan Cummings and Alex Freund placed second and juniors Cy Winslow and Jaymin Stever placed fourth.

Troy’s only girls doubles pair in the tournament, seniors Kaitlyn Downey and Allie Coldwell, who are playing tennis for the first time this year, placed second.
