ALBERTON - The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking comments on a proposal to resurface about 2.4 miles of Secondary Road 507 that runs through the town of Alberton.

The project begins about 0.1 miles east of the Interstate 90 Alberton interchange on Railroad Avenue and heads east through Alberton for about 1 mile to the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Adams Street. The route continues down Adams Street to the Petty Creek interchange where it ends at reference post 2.5. This project is within Mineral and Missoula counties.

Proposed work includes crack sealing, seal and cover (chip seal), fog seal and upgraded pavement markings. The purpose of the project is to take a cost-effective action to prolong and preserve the existing pavement.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2019, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.

No new right-of-way or utility relocations will be needed.
