Pirates, Lady Pirates shine at ABC Invite

The Polson High School girl’s track team had multiple first-place finishes at the ABC Invitational Saturday at Polson High School.

Bea Frissell continues to be a fixture in first place in the distance events. Frissell placed first in the 1,600-meter run recording a time of 5 minutes, 20.86 seconds and followed that up with a first-place finish in the 3,200-meter race.

Frissell recorded a time of 11 minutes, 50.11 seconds en route to a first place in the 3,200-meter run.

Mikaela DuCharme set a personal record and finished first in the long jump by recording a distance of 16 feet, 3 inches and first in the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 9 inches

Pirates excel at ABC

The Polson Pirates had individuals that placed first at the ABC Invite Saturday morning at Polson High School.

Trenton Adler finished first in the 200-meter dash recording a personal record with a time of 23.09 seconds.

Adler also recorded a personal record of 54.92 seconds in the 400-meter dash with a first-place finish.

All season Colton Cote has placed first in the 110-meter hurdles and recorded a personal record with a 15.33 seconds.

Chiefs, Maidens shine at ABC

The Ronan High School track team continues to excel as they approach the postseason.

Chiefs, Maidens’ coach Brian Labbe may have a young team, but they are beginning to showcase their talent at the end of the season.

Chiefs’ Kinsely Barney finished first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.36 seconds.

Barney also finished first in the triple jump and recorded a personal record with 39 feet, 2.25 inches.

Polson and Ronan will have one more race on May 18-19 at the Northwest Divisional at Polson High School.

Those that qualify for State will finish their season May 25-26 at the MHSA Class A-C track meet at Laurel High School.
