Last week the Plains City Volunteer Fire Department hosted Eagle Satellite for an impromptu meet-and-greet that also resulted in a donation toward the local fire department.

Locals in Plains were invited to the fire hall to meet Mike Anderson of Eagle Satellite. Anderson and his company donated $200 to the local department.

“With every person that signed on with Eagle Satellite we would add an additional $50 to the donation fund for the local fire department,” said Anderson.

“We are grateful for anyone who wants to help out and donate to the department,” said Fire Chief Anthony Young

With an unofficial total of $308 as of May 10, Chief Young said there could be more added to the donation with those that didn’t commit on the day, but may call Anderson to take on one of the packages that he offered while in Plains.
