Libby and Troy schools will each be showing off the creative work of students next week.

Troy Public Schools will host the first show on Tuesday, May 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Troy Middle/High School gym.

The show is put on by the Troy High School Art Club, but will feature the work of students from the elementary, middle and high schools, as well as from adult education and pottery students, according to high school art teacher Jeanie Palmer.

The show will also feature senior art students who have completed four years of high school art.

On Wednesday, May 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Libby Middle/High School library will once again host Strutt your Stuff.

The show of work by Libby middle and high school students includes more than just art.

“The school library is converted into a gallery of visual delights and the doors are opened for everyone to have a snapshot view of student talents,” according to the press release from the school.

The press release invites the public to “Come stroll through and enjoy Libby students’ creative efforts,” which include prose, poetry, crafts, origami, hand made papers, woodworking and, metal work, as well as “the traditional fine arts categories” such as drawings, paintings, pottery and photography.

In addition, the release notes that, “The pleasant strains of the marvelous Libby High School music department will waft through the air to compliment the visit.”
