POLSON — The Whitefish girls and Corvallis boys are the leaders after seven events at the Western A divisional track meet on Friday.

Whitefish, 36, has a two-point edge on Frenchtown with Libby, 31, holding down third place.

Whitefish did not have an event winner, but Lauren Schulz was second in the 400 and Ella Greenberg was second in the 1,600 in individual events.

Whitefish was the runner-up in the 400 relay.

Placing first were Emily Mossburg (400) of Libby, Bea Frissell (1,600) of Polson and Angellica Street (javelin) of Columbia Falls.

Corvallis, 48, has a slight lead on Columbia Falls, 37, in the boys standings. Libby and Frenchtown are tied for third with 28 totals.

Placing first were Libby’s Jay Beagle (400) and Gavin Strom (long jump), Polson’s Colton Cote (110 hurdles) and Columbia Falls’ Ben Windauer (pole vault).
