POLSON — Corvallis claimed the team titles at the Western A divisional track meet on Saturday.

The Blue Devils edged Beaverhead County (Dillon) 82-80 for the girls trophy. Whitefish, 73, was third in a bunched-up field.

Libby and Frenchtown, 54 each, tied for fourth.

The Blue Devils had a larger margin of victory on the boys side, posting a winning total of 131. Columbia Falls, 86, was second and Frenchtown, 76, third.

Whitefish had three firsts on the final day, winning the boys and girls 1,600 relays while Lee Walburn posted the top time in the 300 hurdles.

Polson’s event winners were Bea Frissell (800), Mikaela Ducharme (triple jump) and Quin Stewart (800).

Parker Greene of Columbia Falls won the discus.

The season ends with the Class A state track meet, which beings Thursday in Laurel.
