Teen shot in shoulder near Othello

OTHELLO — A 14-year-old boy was arrested over the weekend in connection with a Saturday night shooting that left another teen with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports the shooting occurred about 10:20 p.m. in the 600 block of South Danielle Road, west of Othello. The shooting involved a 17-year-old male receiving a gunshot wound to his left shoulder as he was sitting in a vehicle.

The victim was able to flee the area and sought out treatment at Othello Community Hospital. He was treated at the hospital for the injury and later released. Adams County deputies later located the suspect, a 14-year-old boy, in the 600 block of South Saddle Road. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
