Cause for Big Arm fire unknown

The cause of a fire Monday night on La Bella Road in Big Arm is undetermined, according to officials.
Polson Rural Fire District Deputy Chief R. Jack Clapp confirmed a structure fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Upon arrival, crews found “a well-involved” two-story home burned through one side.
The fire was determined to have started from a nearby shed and spread to the home, burning the outside of the structure.
Currently, the damages are estimated in excess of $200,000.
Clapp said that crews remained on scene through the night to make sure the fire didn’t reignite.
Assisting PRFD were Polson City Fire and Chief Cliff Fire, responding with additional tenders.
