MOSES LAKE — After having to cancel the event twice in 2017, organizers of the Battle of the Badge charity softball game are hoping for better luck in 2018 and to raise funds for a worthy cause.
The game will feature officers from the Moses Lake Police Department taking on deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at the Larson Playfield, 2501 W. Broadway Ave., in Moses Lake. The event is free to attend and is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. June 5. The event will feature police vehicles on display, a radar gun for attendees to see how fast they can throw, concessions and in-between inning entertainment. The proceeds from the event directly benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin.
