Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash Friday afternoon south of Polson.

According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Zach Miller, a juvenile girl was driving a Ford F-150 pickup north on Skyline Drive and a man driving at Mazda passenger car east on North Reservoir Road collided at the intersection.

Serious injuries were reported and both drivers were taken to the St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash. It wasn’t known if either driver was wearing a seat belt. The cause of the accident was still under investigation.
