Caleb Petersen Ffa Chapter Reporter | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 7 years, 1 month AGO
On behalf of the Bonners Ferry FFA Chapter and the 2018-19 Officer Team, I invite the community to attend the 2018 Harvest Auction on Nov. 9, 2018. The Harvest Auction will be held at Bonners Ferry High School in the Becker Auditorium. A complimentary dinner will precede the auction and will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. the auction will begin. Items ranging from home decorations to mechanical equipment, and baked goods to animal feed, will be available to purchase. In addition, the Chapter will have our hand poured soy candle line available for purchase.
In honor of our chapter’s 70th Anniversary this year, the theme for the event will be #70YearsStrong and will incorporate our chapter’s history into our program, while connecting it to our modern world with technology and media. The meal to precede the auction will be pulled pork sandwiches, with coleslaw and potato salad, and desert. Additionally, silent auction items will be available to win.
We are thankful to those businesses and donors who have donated items to this year’s auction and hope that your donation will allow the chapter to attend many FFA events throughout the school-year. Traditionally the funds raised from this auction provide scholarships to members to help pay for lodging, registration fees, and transportation to and from the activities the chapter attends during the year. Some of the proceeds from this auction also help fund community-service projects.
This year’s community service project will be a meal packaging event to help members in our community have a Holiday Without Hunger. For more information about the auction or to donate an item, please contact us by phone at 208-267-3149, email at [email protected], or visit our website at bonnersferryffa.weebly.com. We hope to see you there!
