POAC presenting landscapes exhibit

Even on a rainy day, we don’t have to describe for you the breathtaking views this region offers. From the mountains to the rivers to the lakes of Northern Idaho, every vista offers an extraordinary delight to the eye.

Pend Oreille Arts Council is very pleased to present an exhibit that features the works of more than a dozen local artists who are able to capture the beauty of our surroundings in an exhibit titled Northern Panhandle Landscapes. An artists’ reception will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Power House gallery, 120 E. Lake St. The public is invited to attend.

“Over the years, artists have come to this region to paint, photograph, sculpt and create,” Emily Bond, POAC’s Visual Arts Administrator Emeritus said. “This exhibit pulls together works created in many mediums and dimensions. Our artist members have looked outside to create works that recall this place and its beauty through traditional and modern methods.”

The exhibit will run through Feb. 25 of next year and is available for viewing during normal business hours
