MOSES LAKE — A dinner for local veterans and a free Thanksgiving dinner for community members will be held in Moses Lake next week.

The veterans dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday at the Elks Lodge, 814 N. Stratford Rd. The dinner is free for veterans and $6 for all other attendees. The Thanksgiving dinner, organized by First Choice Services, will be held on Wednesday at the Elks Lodge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The dinner, which will be prepared by Theresa Clement and students from the Columbia Basin Job Corps, is free for the public to attend. The majority of the food will be provided by Windermere K-2 Real Estate, whose agents regularly donate a portion from each of their sales to a community-related project.

Those who want to attend the dinner but have transportation issues or limitations can contact People For People at 509-765-9249.
