8th annual Moses Lake Turkey Trot cancer fundraiser coming Saturday

MOSES LAKE — The eighth annual Moses Lake Turkey Trot 5K run/walk is returning to Moses Lake on Saturday to raise funds for the Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation.

Online registration will cost participants $15, but people can still register on the day of the event for $20. The 5K run/walk kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday morning at Blue Heron Park, 111 Westshore Drive, with an award ceremony scheduled for after the race.

Organizers have divided the race in the following age groups: male and female 6 and under, 7-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70-plus. There is a stroller division as well for men and women who want to participate with a child in a stroller. All proceeds from the race go directly to the Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation, with extra donations welcomed during registration on Saturday.
