MESA — A woman from Othello was injured in an early Tuesday morning collision in Franklin County after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a cement barrier.
About 4:30 a.m. Alyssa Martinez, 31, of Othello, was driving a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser south on state Route 17, in Mesa city limits, when she reportedly lost control of her vehicle and struck a cement barrier, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Martinez was injured in the collision and transported to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco for treatment. Neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the collision and the patrol says Martinez was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision. The PT Cruiser was totaled in the accident.
The patrol reports Martinez was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
